Jerry S. Grant, 84, of Danville passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023.  Born January 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Samuel and Annalee Higdon Grant.

Jerry retired from Corning and Philips Lighting in 1997 with 40 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching UK basketball. Jerry was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janie Grant of Danville; his sons, Deron (April) Grant of Texas and Brian (Catherine) Rousey of Texas; daughter, Rhonda (Bruce) Akroyd of Texas; brother, Charlie Grant of Florida; sisters, Tiny Young of Danville and Leorita (Stewart) McDermott of Danville; 9 grandchildren: Crystal, Lee, Nick, Ashley, Grant, Amber, Bryce, Braylon, and Coen; and 3 great-grandchildren: Cruz, Mason, and Witten. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Rousey; brothers, Harold and Marion; and sisters, Rosemary, Elaine, and Patricia.

Visitation is from 9-10 am Monday, December 11, 2023, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am Monday celebrated by Father Danny Schwendeman.  Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
