Jerome Johnson, 77, of Danville, formerly of Parksville passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  Born April 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert and Nellie Montgomery Johnson. Jerome was a member of Berea Christian Church in Harrodsburg.  Along with his wife, Connie, he owned and operated Connie's Restaurant and Deli for 21 years.  Everyone loved his "world famous" chili dogs.

Jerome is survived by his wife of 37 years, Connie Crowe Johnson; son, Brian (Chasity) Caldwell of Perryville; daughters, Susan (Waylon) Lawson of Garrard County and Becky (Dale) Phillips of Forkland; sister, Ann (Gary) Wilson of Moreland; five grandchildren:  Cody (Danielle) Phillips, Jessica Renner, Danielle Lawson, Maddie Caldwell, and Emily Caldwell; and seven great grandchildren: Olivia, Ava, Elijah, Jayla, JayAnna, Landon, and Jammison. Jerome was preceded in death by an infant brother and his daughter, Angie Johnson.

Visitation is 10 am- 1pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm, Monday with Bro. Nelson Reynolds officiating.  Pallbearers are Landon Renner, Cody Phillips, Dale Phillips, Waylon Lawson, Jamie Kyle, Gary Wilson, and Clint Sargent.  Honorary pallbearers are Stacy Wilson, George Gordon, Jimmy Overstreet, Mark McElfresh, Charlie Gilpin, and Dr. Thomas Jackson and staff.   Burial is in Elder Cemetery.
