J.D. Holly, 77, of Danville passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.  Born July 7, 1946, he was the son of the late Anheir and Vera Gladys Baugh Holly.

J.D. enjoyed fishing, liked to play his guitar, and watched Westerns on TV.  When his wife was living, he loved singing with her. He was very close to his grandchildren and loved telling them stories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Holly; and by three sisters:  Connie Crowe, JoAnn Himes, and Edna Reardon.  He is survived by his daughter, Dianna Holly of Danville; three grandchildren:  Travis (Kayla) Keeton of Maxey Valley, Ashton Leavell (Kati Rosengrant) of Perryville, and Amber Holly of Danville.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Junior Fields officiating.  Burial is at Parksville Cemetery.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
