Janice Sue Thompson Runyon, 76, of Danville passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024.  Born March 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Eunice Sydnor Thompson.  In addition to her parents, Janice was also preceded in death by 3 brothers:  Clifford Thompson, Randall Thompson, and Clayton Thompson; and by 3 sisters:  Elsie Thompson, Dorothy Cundiff, and Elouise Acres.

Janice retired from the Danville City Schools where she had worked for 20 years in the lunchroom.  She was also retired from Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation where she had worked for 20 years as a CNA.  Janice was a member of Alum Springs Baptist Church.  She loved to read her Bible and enjoyed Amish novels, quilting, and spending time with her family and fur babies.

Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth T. Runyon Jr; 3 sons: Kenneth Charles "Chuckie" Runyon of Danville, James Allen (Tressy) Runyon of Cynthiana, and Edward Thomas "Eddie" (Sarah) Runyon of Junction City; 2 grandsons, Matthew Thomas Runyon and Samuel Lee Runyon, both of Junction City; and a brother, William Dale (Sylvia) Thompson of Texas.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Tuesday at Alum Springs Baptist Church.  Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Ed Runyon and Bro. Zak Lawson officiating.  Burial will be in Clifton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Runyon Jr, Chuckie Runyon, James Runyon, Matthew Runyon, Samuel Runyon, and Eddie Runyon.
