James "Jimmy" Edwin McMullin, 73, of Berea passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born in Winchester on May 10, 1950 to the late James and Modena Royalty McMullin.

Jimmy retired from Hitachi, formerly known as Tokico, in Berea. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Terry Kelley McMullin.  Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Jamie Proffitt and her husband, Woody, and Angie Benton and her husband, J.C., and their children, Nathan Campbell, Paislee King, Charlee, E.C., and Morgan Benton, all of Richmond. He is also survived by his stepson, Joe Whitaker and his wife, Carly, and their children, Cooper and Miles, of Berea, and his sister who helped care for him, Teresa Parks, and her husband, Dwight, of Richmond as well as several other family members and friends.

Jimmy's family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care Hospice and Pat and Henry Joines provided during his last days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.

Per his wishes, no services are scheduled.  His private interment will be at Berea Cemetery.
