Obituary

James "Buddy" William Holley, 80, of Parksville passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Born in Mitchellsburg on April 27, 1944, he was the son of the late Earl and Alma Baugh Holley.

Buddy was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He retired from Rockwell International. Buddy loved to watch the birds. He was an excellent woodworker and mechanic. He restored a 1950 Chevy with his grandson, Josh.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Belcher Holley; daughters: Angie Stagner of Parksville and Dana (Jeff) Lawhorn of Parksville; brother, David (Mickey) Holley of SC; brother-in-law, Eddie Lanham; granddaughter, Brandy (William) Buzo of Nicholasville; and great-grandchildren: Karson Lawhorn, Isabella Buzo, and Raylen Buzo.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his grandchild, Joshua Ray Lawhorn and his sister, Peggy Lanham.

Visitation is 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM, Wednesday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM with JR Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Karson Lawhorn, William Buzo, Scott Belcher, Timmy Montgomery, David Vaught, and Jon Belcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lawhorn, Mike Belcher, David Belcher, Jonathan Burger, Eddie Lanham, and Gary Belcher.
