James Gregory "Greg" Franklin, 63, of Middleburg passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born in Dayton, Ohio on May 8, 1962, he was the son of Beulah Mae Haney Snow of Middleburg and the late Clarence Edward Franklin.

Greg loved hunting, fishing, camping, and UK Basketball. He was a diesel mechanic and enjoyed working on old cars. Greg liked to "pick" on everyone and spending time with his family.

Greg is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angela Boyd Franklin of Middleburg; daughters: Brittani Davis (Wade Martin) of Liberty and Brooklin (Bradley) Myers of Middleburg; sisters: Belinda Norfleet of IL and Connie Albright of Middleburg; brothers: Jeff (Robin) Kaufman of Jamestown and Robert (Teresa) Franklin of Middleburg; brother-in-law, Roy Osborne of Lancaster; grandchildren: Ayden Davis, Dashay Davis, and Bryson Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Greg was preceded in death by his brother Butch Kaufman, sister Rebecca Osborne, brothers-in-law: Bill Norfleet and Joey Albright, and sister-in-law, Sue Kaufman.

Visitation is 11:00am-1:00pm, Monday, August 11, 2025, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Bro. Eric Withers officiating. Pallbearers will be Wade Martin, Bradley Myers, Mark Boyd, Jeff Kaufman, Ayden Davis, and Bryson Martin.
