James Edward Reed, 77, of Hustonville went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 10, 2023.  Born February 15, 1946, in Stanford, he was the son of the late Mary Mullins Reed and George Alford Reed.  He was a cook at Hustonville Elementary School for over 17 years.

Jimmy enjoyed collecting dishes, movies, and Hot Wheels.  He also enjoyed watching western movies especially those featuring John Wayne.  He loved flowers and sitting outside on his porch.  Jimmy loved the Lord and was a member of the First Church of God in Hustonville.

He is survived by his sister, Katherine Brown, of Hustonville and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby and Vernon Reed, and sisters, Lucille Miller and Shirley Wilson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.  at the funeral home with Bro. Marvin Hatton officiating. Burial will follow at Hustonville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brown, Roger Brown, Dewight Mullins, Michael Brown, Bobby Brown, and Kim Brown.
