Herschell Clyde Jones, 86, of Junction City passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, at his home.  Born January 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Margaret Montgomery Jones.  He was also preceded in death by his precious dog, Tucker.

Herschell was a former member of Junction City First Christian Church and now attended Living Water Worship Centre.  Church, and especially his relationship with Jesus, was very important to him.  He liked to work on lawn mowers, enjoyed racing Go-Karts, and loved fast cars.  More recently, he enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table watching the hummingbirds feed and looking at Wanda's beautiful flowers. He also cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Kaufman Jones; son, Jeffery Clyde Jones of Junction City; daughters, Lisa Faye Phillips of Junction City and Terry Lynn Dismuke of Harrodsburg and her husband, Stephen; five grandchildren:  Joshua Phillips, Cheyenne (Andrew) Jennings, Shelby Jones, Jeremy Jones, and Jordan (Destiny) Jones; and one great grandchild, Lula Rose Carter.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Tuesday night at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is 1 pm, Wednesday with Pastors Rick Smale and Stephen Dismuke officiating.  Burial is in Junction City Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Josh Phillips, Jeremy Jones, Jordan Jones, Steve Dismuke, Andrew Jennings and Aaron Matherly.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com .
