Hazel Marie Roland Padgett Elkins, 66, of Kings Mountain passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Born in Cincinnati on November 6, 1959, she was the daughter of the late William and Olive Marie Madden Roland.

Hazel liked to listen to music and ride motorcycles. Most of all, Hazel loved her husband and entire family.

Hazel is survived by her husband of 27 years, Vernon Elkins of Kings Mountain; children: Brian Elkins, Amy (Brandon) Warren, Charlie Williams, Richard Williams, Jessica Grassa, William Padgett, Eric Katzvinsky, and Christopher Gaunt; sisters: Billy Padgett, Carol Roland, Stella Patrick, Gidgett Padgett and Tina Long; grandchildren: Jamie, Elijah, Alexis, Madison, Tristan, Hayden, and Kiley; 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Padgett; brothers: Jimmy Pharris, Danny Pharris, David Roland, Donnie Roland, and Bobby Roland; sisters: Pat Kinney and Mary Roland; and her first husband, Hershel JR Padgett.

Visitation is 11:00AM-1:00PM, Monday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Jason Pennington officiating.
