Glen D. Hardy Sr., age 72, of Greenville, Ohio, born January 10, 1954, passed away in Lebanon, Ky on April 3, 2026.
While he wasn't affiliated with a specific church, he was a Christian and loved God.
Glen was a lifelong truck driver who proudly dedicated many years to the road before retiring. He was employed by Dick Lavy Trucking in Bradford, Ohio, for 25 years, a career he deeply loved and took great pride in.
He cherished his family and friends and was passionate about trucking, computers, and most of all, talking with the people he loved. Anyone who knew Glen knows that conversations with him were never short, but always heartfelt and memorable.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mildred Marcella (Downey) Hardy of Danville; his brother, James Hardy of Greenville; his daughter, Angela Hardy of Parksville; and his longtime best friend, Ronald Klackner of Greenville.
He is survived by his sisters, Pat Walston (husband Terry) and Beverly Cooper (husband Joe); his five children, Monica VanGundy (husband Mike) Glen Douglas Hardy Jr., Karen Lee Hardy, Christopher Hardy, and Nicki Henderson; 18 grandchildren; 17 great‑grandchildren and a handful of nieces and nephews.
Cremation services will be provided by W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Glen will instead be honored with a Celebration of Life, to be announced at a later date.
