Gerald Ray Shearer, 73, of Danville, passed away on December 26, 2024. Born in Lancaster on March 11, 1951, he was the son of the late Luther Shearer and the late Leona Cunningham Cook.

Gerald was a member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church and the K-Y Bass Club.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Vanasa Shearer; son, Anthony Shearer of Danville; and grandchildren: Aubreyella and Aleah Shearer.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his sisters: Wanda Boyd and Mary Graham.

Visitation is 11:30am-1:30pm Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:30pm with Bro. Travis Alltop officiating.
