George Joseph Routin, 70, of Danville passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Born January 17, 1952, he was the son of the late Oliver Routin and Edna Houch Griffieth.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Joyce, Mary Jo, Harold, Robert, Darrell, and Gleah.

George liked fishing and hunting.  He loved to watch old Western movies, especially Gun Smoke, and loved his Basset Hounds.  George was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brothers: Jerry (Nell) Houch of Junction City, Kevin Routin of Garrard County, J.E. (Sue) Routin of Moreland, and Glen Taylor of Danville.

Visitation is 5-7 pm Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is at 11 am Thursday with Bro. Jonathan Grizzell officiating.  Pallbearers are Jason Routin, J.E. Routin, Jr, Steve Willoughby, Kaiden Routin, Teresa Routin, and Steve Harp.  Honorary Pallbearers are Freddie Hogue, Jackie Underwood, Debbie Weaver, and his nieces and nephews.  Burial is in Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Waynesburg.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
