Patricia Foryste Rich Downey, 93, of Moreland passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.  Born May 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Orien E. and Linnie Barger Rich.

Foryste retired from Palm Beach where she had been a supervisor for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Downey; son, Tommy Downey, and sister, Carol McQueary.

She is survived by a son, Daniel R. (Jane) Downey of Moreland; daughter, Patty Downey of Liberty; grandchildren, Chris (Leslie) Downey of Liberty and Michelle Renee' (Ryan) Lanigan of Danville; 4 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Betty Scanlon of Hustonville.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Thursday with Bro. Eric Douglas officiating.

Pallbearers are David Payton, Danny Terrell, Ryan Lanigan, David Downey, and Nelson Grubbs, Honorary pallbearers are Billy Kirkpatrick, Chris Downey, and Donnie Turner.
