Evelyn Marie Broyles Engle, 86, of Danville gained her angel wings when she went home to be with Jesus on August 8, 2021.   Born June 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beva Satterly Broyles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Engle; a son, Tommy Engle; a sister, Wanda Overstreet; and three brothers: Bobby Broyles, Jimmy Broyles, and Thomas Broyles.

Evelyn had a passion for cooking, crocheting, and gardening.  She could often be found nurturing her flowers or sitting on her back porch swing or rocker enjoying the beauty of the day watching the birds. She loved Jesus and her family, especially her grandchildren and the KY Wildcats.

Survivors include a son, William M. "Bill" (Angel) Engle of TN; daughters, Lynn Engle Mills and Debbie Engle Miller, both of Danville; sisters: Linda Johnson and Glenna Engle, both of Danville, and Mildred Dennis of Lancaster; grandchildren: Heather (Lance) Thrash, Jody (Christy) Miller, Brandy (Curtis) Adams, Thomas (Rebekah) Engle, and Kendra (Brandon) Sanders; two extended grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was so excited for the arrival of her first great-great grandchild in November.

Visitation is 11am-12:30pm, Thursday, August 12 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 pm at Glenwood Cemetery with Jody Miller and Chaplain Curtis Adams officiating.
