Eva Pearl Southerland Jenkins, 87, of McKinney passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Born September 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Taylor Southerland.
Eva was a seamstress and had worked at several factories, including Palm Beach, Genesco, and Safeguard. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and she loved attending church. She was a great mother, mother-in-law, and grandma.
Eva is survived by 3 sons: Randy (Debbie) Jenkins of McKinney, Ralph Jenkins of McKinney, and Jeff (Brenda) Jenkins of Hustonville; 4 grandchildren: James (Brandy) Jenkins of Casey County, Hartford Lee (Hannah) Jenkins of Danville, Jeffrey "Peanut" (Kari) Jenkins of Waynesburg, and April Jenkins of Stanford; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Eva was also preceded in death by a sister, Lena Margaret Maddox and brothers: Kenneth Southerland, Billy Ray Southerland, and Earl Southerland.
Visitation is 5-8pm Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 11 am Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. David Fralix officiating. Burial is in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Jenkins, James Jenkins, Lee Jenkins, Mason Jenkins, Dylan Allison, and Todd Grogan. A guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
