Edwin Eugene "Gene" Thomas, 66, of Danville passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2021.  Born April 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Vanus H. and Sylvia Marie Lane Thomas.  In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Miller Thomas; daughter, Priscilla Thomas; grandson, Dalton Miller, sisters: Molly Propes, Lela Cummins, and Helen Thomas; and brothers, Glendal Thomas and Kenneth B. Thomas.

Gene loved to sit under a shade tree visiting with family and friends.  He was devoted to his grandchildren.

Gene is survived by his sons, Terry Thomas of Harrodsburg and Eric Miller of Junction City; daughter, Amanda (Jason) Rose of Junction City; brother, Kenneth Thomas of Lexington; sisters: Margaret Gilbert of Junction City, Sharon Snow of Moreland, Kay (Estel) Sims of Danville, and Linda Hillard of Danville; grandchildren: Trevor, Shannon, Kaitlyn (Joseph), Chase, and Zach; and two great grandchildren, Lilliana and Gabriella.
