Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Beeler Lewis, 89, of Bradfordsville, passed away on May 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Elizabeth was born in Chilton, Kentucky on September 1, 1936, to Waitmon White Beeler and Alma Reed Beeler.  She was the third child born to this happy union.  She had a strong connection to this area where she was born.  She made trips back to the family home weekly for as long as she was able.  She attended Rocky Ford School in the Chilton community from first to eighth grade.  She was a member of the last graduating class of Bradfordsville High School in 1954.  Elizabeth worked a public job in Danville at the Genesco Shoe Factory before she was married.  Then on January 16, 1959, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Warren Douglas Lewis.  They were married for 63 years.  Doug and Eab as they were affectionally called had one daughter, Cynthia Ann Lewis Wilson.

Elizabeth loved to sew, cook and keep house.  She was a wonderful homemaker and Christian example.  She was an encouragement to anyone who met her and her home was always open to visitors.  She will be remembered for her strong sense of humor and her intense love for her family.

Elizabeth is survived by her only daughter, Cynthia (Todd) Wilson and only granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Wilson.  She leaves behind her brothers, Joseph Beeler (Barbara) of Liberty, James Beeler (Patricia) of Hustonville, and Jacob Beeler (Mary Lee) of Bradfordsville; and one sister, Virginia Beeler Price Westerfield (the late George and J.D.) of Moreland. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Warren Douglas Lewis; her parents, Waitmon and Alma Beeler of Hustonville; her sisters: Nancy Beeler Cochran (the late Hollis) of Mooresville, Indiana and Alice Faye Beeler of Hustonville; and a brother, David (Virginia) of Mooresville, Indiana.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home from 11:00am-2:00pm. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm with Bro. Delane Pinkston and Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating, and a eulogy will be given by her daughter, Cynthia Wilson and granddaughter, Hannah Wilson. Burial will be in the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville, Kentucky.

Pallbearers are Butch Wilcher and Greg Tapscott and Beeler grandchildren: Waitmon Beeler, Brian Beeler, Ben Beeler, Stephen Beeler, and Anthony Beeler.

Honorary Pallbearers are also Beeler grandchildren: Pauletta Haynes, Melodie Cochran, Alma Larrison, Cheryl Ursprung, Angie Emerson, Jennifer Rumsey, Michelle White, and Andrea Beeler.  Other pallbearers will include Johnny Ray Burchell, Shawn Gibson, Devin Gibson, and Charlie McAnelly.
