Eddie Jay VanHook, 61, of Danville passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. Born in Danville on May 8, 1963, he was the son of Lois Horton VanHook of Danville and the late Egbert VanHook.

Eddie was a very giving person and would do what he could to help others. He loved his family, his dog, Charlie, and his truck. Eddie liked to spend time in the country and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Eddie is survived by his sisters: Patricia Johnson of Harrodsburg, Jo Ann (Tony) Greene of Bardstown, and Angie Alford of Danville; brothers, Louis (Cleofe) VanHook, Kenny VanHook of Danville, and Bradley VanHook of Danville; a daughter, Mary Beth; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2024, at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with burial in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Blackmer, Dwayne Devine, Tony Greene, John Linton, Deshawn Kennedy, and Larry Young.
