Dorothy F. Cook Atwood, 94 of Moreland passed away in Liberty, KY on Thursday, October 6, 2022.  Born July 12,1928, she was the daughter of the late James  and Mary Hale Cook.

Dorothy lived a simple life.  She was a great cook.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, and crocheting.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Earl Atwood; daughter, Sue Gail Snow; sisters, Helen Reed and Margaret Brown; brothers, Donald D. Cook and Lester Cook; and granddaughter, Deborah Pendleton.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Ann Clements; grandchildren:  Ricky Clements and Bryant Snow; four great grandchildren: Jonathan Hafley, Christopher Clements, Richie Clements, and Matthew Clements; one great-great granddaughter, Scarlette Clements;  brother, Chester (Betty Jo) Cook; nieces, Tammy (Johnny) Morgan and Mary Ann Brown; nephew, Russell (Rita)  Brown; and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be at 1 pm, Monday with Bro. Mike Yocum officiating.  Burial is in Moreland Cemetery.

Dorothy's family are so grateful for the special staff at Liberty Care Center.  They are thankful for the wonderful care that she received while a resident there.
