Donald Ray Coontz, 68, of Hustonville passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025.  Born November 28, 1956, he was the son of Margaret Franklin Coontz of Moreland and the late Robert Coontz.  In addition to his father, Donald was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Coontz; sisters, Linda and Shirley Coontz; and brothers, Guy and Billy Coontz.

Donald loved fishing and dirt track racing.  He enjoyed watching westerns and church services on television, and spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He liked to do Bible studies with them.

Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice Coontz; daughters, Rhonda Davis (Derrick Cooley) of Hustonville and Amanda (Eddie) Hasty of Stanford; brothers, Dannie Coontz of Moreland and Charles (Patsy) Byrd of TN; 4 grandchildren:  Dakota Coontz, Harley Davis, Alexus Leanna, and Mia Cooley; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, with Bro. Paul Johnson officiating.  Pallbearers are Shawn Keith, Eddie Hasty, Randal Davis, Derrick Cooley, and Earl Luke Matherly.  Burial is in Hustonville Cemetery.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
