Born Donald Lawrence Lay, Jr. in Nashville Tn on February 11, 1963, and is better known by his
adopted name Donald Lawrence Barsy. He succumbed to his earthly life for his wings in heaven
May 14, 2024. Residing in Kings Mountain, Kentucky since 2002. Having a very loving and happy
childhood Donny grew to be exceptionally bright and not to mention he was always shy. He loved
reading, listening to music, playing his guitar, playing family jokes, wrestling with his brother and
traveling. He served as a Police Officer in Los Angeles, an Airman in the US Air Force, and as an
LTJG in the US Navy. Taken too soon we will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his
parents Sharon and Kenneth Barsy, stepsister Elizabeth Barsy and grandparents Sadie Mae
Windham and Victor Lawrence Taylor. He is survived by his brother Blake Barsy.
