David Hayes Stith, 81, of Danville passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical. He was born on October 30, 1941 in Louisville, KY. He was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Smith Stith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, JC Stith.

David loved Corvettes and motorcycles.  He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad where he worked as a brakeman and a conductor. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Norrene "Lee" Bastin Stith; his son, Jeff Stith and his wife Karen Statom of Danville; and 2 granddaughters: Emma and Audrey Stith, both of Danville.

There will be a visitation from 3:00-5:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland. David's wish to be cremated will be honored prior to the visitation.  There is an online guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
