David "Big Easy" Simpson, 39, of Casey County passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022.  Born May 11, 1982, he was the son of Vickie Simpson of Casey County and the late Buford Dale Fair.

David was a loving son, father, and friend.  His daughter was a "spit'n" image of him. He always kept check on his mother, talking with her every morning at 5:30 am. He was honest and had a heart of gold.  He told it "like it was"! Most of all, he loved his Harley and was "WFO".  He was just a "koo" guy!

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Kaitlynn Simpson of Casey County; "Ol`Lady", Sharon Derousse of Casey County; step-daughter, Kaylee Monday of Casey County; step-son, Casey Derousse of Casey County; sister, Rhonda (Shawn) Gilliam of Moreland; nephews, Winston Gilliam and Reed Gilliam, both of Moreland; and uncle, Roger Simpson of Junction City.  In addition to his dad, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Brown.

Visitation is 11am-1pm Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm.  Burial is at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Shannon Knight, Chris Jackson, Billy Biggs, Jonathan Bradshaw, David Crowe, Winston Gilliam and Reed Gilliam.  Honorary pallbearers are Bradford Spaulding, Collin Brown, Brandon Adams, Michael Tapscott, and Roger Simpson.
