David William Phillips, Sr., 77, of Junction City passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.  Born April 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles "Pete" Phillips and Bertha Anderson Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Shelton Phillips; brothers, Charles Clayton Phillips and Jerry Phillips; and sister, Kathy Moore.

David was a member of Mt. Freeman Baptist Church.

David is survived by a daughter, Sandy (Sam) Buckingham of Junction City; sons: David (Ashley) Phillips, Jr. of Junction City, Stanley Phillips of Mitchellsburg, and Dale (Becky) Phillips of Forkland; sister, Linda McFarland of Florida, 7 grandchildren: Amanda Hanny, Cori Johnson, Maddy Phillips, Makayla Phillips, Jessica Renner, Cody Phillips, and Tyler Stephens; and 10 great-grandchildren.
