David Irvin Payton, 80, of Hustonville passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025.  Born February 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Daniel and Katie Crawley Peyton.

David enjoyed playing pool and collecting "treasures".

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Carol McQueary Payton; daughters: Pattie (Lewis) Allison of McKinney, Corey (Phil) Williams of Lexington, and Amanda West of Brandenburg; brother, Bobby (Diane) Payton of Hustonville; 2 grandchildren, Dylan (Emily) Allison of McKinney and Lexie Goodwin of Brandenburg; and 2 great grandchildren, Kyson and Kohyn Allison; and a host of nieces, nephew, and good friends.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Yvonne; brothers: Luke, Marshall, and Estill Payton; and his sister, Jewell Patterson.

Visitation is 5-7 pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm with Bro. Reggie Tipton officiating.  A private burial will be at Hustonville Cemetery.
