David Eugene Lynn, 48, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  He was born on November 4, 1972 in Indianapolis to Juanita (Payton) Schmidt and the late Carl "Gene" Lynn.

David loved spending time outdoors, especially at the farm in Kentucky.  He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons, Brandon Lynn and Skylar Lynn; mother and step-father, Juanita and Fred Schmidt, Sr.; siblings, Barbara (Randy) Miller, Peggy (Franky) Morrison, Carol (Donnie) Miller, Lisa (Jeff) Orbaugh, and Diann McCarty; and granddaughter, Kenleigh Lynn.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 17 years, Nikki (Hogue) Lynn; and brothers, Mike Naylor and Fred Schmidt, Jr.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  In Kentucky, visitation will be held on Friday, October 22 from 10 to 1 p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home, 5590 KY Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437.  Burial will follow the services at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to help with final expenses.
