Darrell Wayne
Kidd
Sep 19, 1970 — Jun 30, 2024
Junction City
Darrell Wayne Kidd, 53, of Junction City passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Born September 19, 1970, he was the son of Betty Lou Preston Kidd and the late Ernest Kidd.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Sue Keck Kidd; daughters: Caitlyn Kidd-Bunch (B.J. Bunch) of Campbellsville, Erin Kidd (Cass Griffin) of Campbellsville, and Megan Kidd of Danville; grandson, Archer Kidd; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Don Keck of Junction City; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rocky Kidd.
Darrell Wayne Kidd was a lifelong partner to Donna, her companion of forty years and her husband for nearly thirty-two. It was love at first sight—they had been inseparable since high school. He was a strong, quiet man, who only spoke when he deemed those words worth speaking, often cut with a razor-sharp wit that shone in his eyes. An avid artist, he drew inspiration from his comic book influences and the people he loved to make beautiful works. All his life, he was an accomplished car aficionado and handyman, easily able to fix up cars and also just about anything else you could think of… even a bad day. In their yard rested several old cars in various states of repair, as projects and puzzles for him to solve. He was a treasured father, who raised his three daughters to be just as strong and capable as he was. To them he also passed his humor, his do-anything mindset, and his big heart. He loved his grandson Archer, almost as much as Archer loves his Pop. His life and light will grow and shine in the boy he loved most in the world. He will be missed more than words can express.
