Cynthia "Cindy" Sue Pleasants Powell 68, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 23, 2026. She was born December 1, 1957, in Danville to the late Joseph David and Elizabeth Mae Faulkner Pleasants.

Cindy held her faith with the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She was a friend to everyone and everyone she met instantly loved her. Cindy was a devoted Mother, Wife, Nana, Sister, and Friend. She loved to spend time outdoors camping, fishing, crafting, or just taking a ride and listening to music. Cindy loved spending time with friends and family, playing games and just being the life of the party.

Cindy is survived by her son, Ashley (Deana) Powell of Stanford; grandchildren: Ryan (Sylvia) Powell of Waynesburg, Ayla (Gabe) Sallee of Waynesburg, Draven Rudnick of Leitchfield, and Trevor Murray of Burkesville; two sisters: Donna Lane of Moreland and Mary Jo (Bill) Wood of Moreland; brother-in-law, C.J. Lane of Hustonville; niece, Shannon (Chad) Little of Nicholasville; nephews, David (Penny) Pleasants of Junction City, Steven (Tracy) Wood of Moreland, and Matt (Brittany) Wood of Moreland; 5 great nieces and 5 great nephews; and a Lifelong friend, Norma (Paul) Campbell and family of Moreland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Morris George Powell, a brother Gary Pleasants, and many friends.

Visitation is 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM, Thursday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 AM with Bro. Andy Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Wood, Steven Wood, Matt Wood, Shannon Little, Dave Davis, Matt Preston, and Scott Preston.

Honorary Pallbearers are Byford and Sherri Hurst, and Lincoln County EMS Staff.
