Connie Jean Peyton Maddox, 61, of Stanford passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Born in Danville on July 17, 1964, she was the daughter of the late William Estill Peyton and Wanda Brown Peyton.

Connie had a servant's heart, and everyone who knew her spoke of her loving, kind, and gentle spirit. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a devoted caregiver to her loved ones and cherished every moment shared with them.

Connie is survived by her sons: Samuel Roy Lane of Stanford and David Walter Maddox of Stanford; daughter: Heather (Kevin) McWhorter; brother, Michael (Freda) Peyton of McKinney and Danny Keith Peyton of Wisconsin; grandchildren: Heather Grace and Nathaniel Lane and Amelia, Everleigh, and Liam Maddox.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband: David Maddox, daughter: Keisha Lane, and sisters: Anita Peyton and Patricia Thompson.
