Charlotte Marie Lane Brown, 59, of Middleburg passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. Born September 9, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Orval and Nannie Gillock Lane. Charlotte was the "ultimate giver" and loved kids. She was a passionate school teacher for decades and "Mama Charlotte" to not only her own children, but to students, nieces, nephews, and family friends. Charlotte's creativity brought her classroom to life in the Lincoln County School System beginning in 1990. She retired in 2017 while working for the Lincoln County Board of Education.
Charlotte was also very crafty and enjoyed painting, quilting, drawing and fishing.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Kim Brown; daughter, Kayla Maddox, and her fiancé, Chris Jeffries of Hustonville; son, Kyle Maddox of Hustonville; step-daughters, Kimberly Michelle Mulligan of Lincoln County and Kelly (Jason) Barnett of Eubank; four brothers: Willis Lane of Hustonville, Marvin (Jan) Lane of Moreland, William Roy Lane of Middleburg, and Marshall Lane of Middleburg; two sisters, Sharon Kay (Donald) Elmore of Middleburg and Deanna (Brad) Brock of Hustonville; five step-grandchildren: Mike, Shelby, Kelsey, Tabby, and Tim; and her grand dogs: Sassy, Jasper, Grady, and Bingo. She was preceded in death by brothers: Larry and Dooley Lane; and nieces, Nanette Elmore and Keisha Lane, and nephew, Billy Lane.
Public visitation is 6-9 pm Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. We request that you wear masks and maintain social distancing as you pay respects and greet. A Private Funeral will be Friday with Bro. Darin Lane officiating. Burial is in Poplar Grove Cemetery and pallbearers are Phillip Elmore, Phillip Lane, Robert Lane, Marvin Lane, Jr., Aaron Brock, Allan Maddox, Sam Lane, and Larry Cooper.
