Charles Everett McCowan, 76, of Danville passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024.  Born July 22, 1947, he was the son of the late George Davis and Leutisha Himes McCowan.  In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by 2 wives, Della Dorine Gribbins McCowan and Wanda Louise Shannon Mc Cowan; daughter, Gayla Jean Limiac; and sisters, Linda Short and Margaret Roller.

Charles loved talking on his CB and was known by "Walking Tall".  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and playing Bingo.  He also loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by a daughter, Tina Louise Vandivier (Randy Hollon) of Frankfort; stepsons, Brian Bowmer (Christina Kitchen) of Moreland and Larry (Carrie) Puyear of Lexington; stepdaughters, Vickie Bowmer (Christle) of London and Rhonda (Larry) Bright of Campbellsville; brother, Robert (Carolyn) McCowan of Danville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-6 pm. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  His Funeral Service will follow at 6 pm with Bro. Lonnie Goodin officiating.
