Cecil Wayne Maddox, 72, of Stanford passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. Born February 3, 1954, he was the son of the late Walter and Lena Margaret Southerland Maddox.

Cecil retired from Southern States. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming. He was a former mayor of Hustonville and is a member of Stanford Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to his parents, Cecil was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vetina Maddox; brothers, Marvin and David Maddox; and sister, Wanda Maddox Carrier.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patsy Cox Maddox; son, Dwayne (Randall) Brown of Stanford; and grandchild, Patrick Maddox of Crab Orchard.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Thursday night at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 12 PM, Friday with burial at Danville Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers are Morgan Cox, Willis Lane, Gerald Smith, Clarence Manuel, Dale Marples, and Michael Cox.
