Carolyn Sue Laing, 78, of Hustonville passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024. Born in Syracuse, NY on April 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Donna McNeil Laing.

Carolyn loved being with her family and her dog, Tully, and working in her flower gardens. She was an avid sewist and lover of crafts including painting, pottery, quilts, and anything she could share with others.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Tim (Margo) Smith of Hustonville and Bill (Kelly Champion-Smith) Smith of FL; 6 grandchildren: Joe (Lauren) Spara, Jessica (Ishaan) Smith-Khatri, Marcus Ellis, Cameron Smith, Zachary (Brittany) Smith, and Logan Smith; and 1 great-grandchild, Anthony Ellis.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Ellie Hurley.

Per her wishes, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the City of Hustonville for the City Park. She loved spending time in the park and the continuing beautification of it will serve as a reminder of her presence in the community.
