Carolyn Prueitt Knight, 81, of Danville passed away December 22, 2023. Born on April 6, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Opal Massingil and the late Bill Prueitt. Carolyn was a hairdresser and also retired from GE in Lexington. She was a member of Lambert's Chapel United Methodist Church in Garrard Co.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dallas Knight; 2 sons, Jimmie Dariel (Linda) Knight of Danville and Wayne (Gina) Knight of Stanford; daughter: Michelle Winchester of Danville; brother, Carl Lee Prueitt of Junction City; 4 grandchildren: Chase (Julia) Knight, Derrick (Victoria) Knight, Chance Winchester, and Ramie (Eddie) Abner; 6 great-grandchildren: Collin, Abagail, and Joshua Knight and Kayleigh, Michael, Raigan Abner; nephew: Michael (Tanis) Prueitt; and niece, Carolyn Sue (Ronnie) Hagar.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville. Jonathan Grizzell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chase and Derrick Knight, Chance Winchester, Jeff Stotts, and John and Jordan Coffey. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody and Hugh (Nookie) Stotts, Harry Whitt, Paul Christopher, and Michael Prueitt.
