Obituary

Carl Dudley Taylor, Jr. 65, of Moreland passed away at his home on Sunday, August 10, 2025.  Born November 21, 1959, he was the son of Charlotte Jean Bugg Stringer of Eubank and the late Carl Dudley Taylor.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christian Taylor.

Carl served in the Army National Guard.  He had worked as a diesel mechanic and was a "jack-of-all-trades".  He especially liked buying, selling, trading, and working on cars.  He loved fishing and hanging out with his buddies.

Carl is survived by his companion, Karen Gibson Taylor of Moreland; daughters, Jennifer Nicole (Phillip Wesley) Yates of Harrodsburg and Tiffany Rena Taylor of CA; sons, Carl Dale Taylor of Richmond and Joshua Wayne Taylor of Winchester; brothers, Tony Taylor of Junction City and Jimmy (Jessica) Stringer of Eubank; sisters, Rhonda Jane Terry of Moreland and Lisa Jane Wilson of AL; 7 grandchildren: Lillian Taylor, Avery Perkins, Deklan Taylor, Mason Seward, Weston Yates, Kane Yates, and Jase Crowe; and nephew: Ayden Stringer.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  His Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
