Bro. William Ray Julian, 95, of Moreland went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Born October 5, 1926, in Pickens County, SC, he was the son of the late Raymond D. and Zannie Hitt Julian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Shead Julian.
Bro. Bill was a US Navy WWII veteran. He had served as pastor at Vincent Baptist Church in Owsley, KY; Red House Baptist Church in Madison County, KY, Hustonville Baptist Church in Hustonville, KY, Pennyroyal Baptist Church in Franklin, OH, First Baptist Church in Monroe, OH, and Seven Mile Baptist Church in Butler County, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Maisie Broaddus Julian; sons, Tommy (Becky) Julian and Joe (Regina) Julian, both of Moreland; daughters: Pat (Robert) Gisler of Nicholasville and Vickie (Ray) Haven of Shepherdsville; step-children, Patsy Whited of Junction City and Stephen (Carolyn) Rogers of Hustonville; sister, Vera Lee Fowler of SC; seven grandchildren: Engle (Don) Mullins, Chad (Melissa) Julian, Lysa (Sean) Link, Jonathan Haven, Nathanael Haven, Joseph (Emily) Julian, and Brandie (Jimmy) Blevins; thirteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-8 pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 11 am, Tuesday at Hustonville Baptist Church with Bro. Andrew McGinnis and Bro. Rudy Allen officiating. Burial is at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors by the US NAVY Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Chad Julian, JoJo Julian, Jonathan Haven, Don Mullins, Eddie Whited, and Johnathan Whited. Honorary pallbearers are Geneva and Buzzy Broaddus, Paul Readnour, and Garnett and Brenda Parks. A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
