Bro. Garry Tildon Allen, Sr. went to his heavenly home on Monday, December 27, 2021.  Born August 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles Allen and Christine Wilcher Wheat.  He was a pastor and auto parts salesman.  He was also the owner of Economy Auto Parts.  Garry was a loving husband, dad, pa, and g-pa. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Garry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ann Hazlett Allen; son, Garry (Beth) Allen, Jr of Danville; daughters, Kim (Chris) Summons of Texas and Amanda (Michael) Marsh of Danville; brother, B.C. Allen of Stanford; grandchildren:  Garry (Macy) Allen, III, Tara (Derek) Emerson, Alyssa Allen, Kailey Summons, Allison Summons, AnnaGrace Summons, and Eleanor Marsh; and great grandchildren: Braylon, Brantley, Truett, Kassidee, and Kyla.  He was preceded in death by his brothers:  Kenneth, Harold, Earl, and Johnny and granddaughter, Mary Grace Summons.

Visitation is 6-8 pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service is 11 am, Friday with Bro. Ricky Catlett and Michael Marsh officiating.  Pallbearers are Garry Allen III, Michael Marsh, Chris Summons, Derek Emerson, Charlie Perry, and Russell Wesley.  Honorary pallbearers are Brantley Allen, Truett Emerson, Braylon Emerson, Danny Hazlett, and members of: Berea Christian Church, Liberty First Church of God, and Alum Springs First Church of God.  Burial is at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
