Brenda Kay Smith Wardrip, 72, of Hustonville passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023.  Born May 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late A.G. and Hazel Vincent Smith.

Brenda was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church.  She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  When she was able, she liked to travel with "the girls".

Brenda is survived by her husband and best friend of 52 years, Wayne Wardrip; son, Corey (Stephanie) Wardrip of Danville; brother, George (Bessie) Smith of Hustonville; sister, Phyllis Jarrett of Hustonville; grandchildren: Campbell, Sawyer, Josh, Jimmy, and Alissa; and 3 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a son, Derek Wardrip, and a grandson, Branson.

Visitation is 11am-1pm Wednesday at Mt. Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating.  A Memorial Service will follow at 1 pm.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
