Boyd Gilliam, 84, of Stanford passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.  Born February 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Walter and Lydia Melton Gilliam.  Boyd had worked at Corning and retired from North American Phillips.  He had also co-owned and operated G&H Ashland in Junction City with Bill Henry.  He was a member of Stanford Christian Church.  Boyd loved to attend car auctions.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Western movies, and all ballgames.

In addition to his parents, Boyd was also preceded in death by two sons, James Boyd Gilliam and Michael Lee Gilliam, grandson, Josh Gilliam; and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Cole.

Boyd is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda Leedy Gilliam; sons, Robert (Mitzi) Gilliam of Stanford and Mark (Susan) Gilliam of Lancaster; three brothers: Pete (Barbara) Gilliam of Stanford, Donnie (Sheree) Gilliam of Stanford, and Dannie (Bonita) Gilliam of McKinney; four sisters:  Jean (Claude) Tillett of Stanford, Peggy Hatfield of Ohio, Etta (Roger) Meek of Stanford, and Mary (Ray) Middleton of Stanford; eight grandchildren: Kris (Brittany) Gilliam, Heather (Travis) Cash, Seth (Ally) Gilliam, Megan (Kyle) Lyons, Jeremy (Evelyn) Gilliam, Travis (Tara) Gilliam, Courtney (Michael) Cole, and Matthew Gilliam; and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation is 12-2pm, Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Jeremy Gilliam officiating.  Burial will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery at 11 am, Saturday.  A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
