Bonnie Faustine Evans Turpin, 89, of Somerset, formerly of Danville passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.  Born January 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lavonne Anderson Evans.

Bonnie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was a longtime children's Sunday School teacher at Moreland Baptist and at Hustonville Baptist Church.  Bonnie was an avid gardener and loved to cook.  She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Lee Turpin; sister, Patricia Hoss; and grandchild, Tracey Roberts. She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan (Barry) Whitis of Somerset and Carol Turpin of Frankfort; brother, James Herbert (Diane) Evans of Bradfordsville; 3 sisters: Kathleen Cochran of Lexington, Judy (Sammy) Hays of NC, and Meredith Glass of IN; 3 grandchildren: Shawn (Christy) Whitis of Beaver Dam, KY. Drew Whitis of Arizona, and Scott (Cindy) Roberts of NC; and 6 great-grandchildren: Evan Whitis, Reese Whitis, Ethan Whitis, Hanna Whitis, Morgan Roberts, and Ben Roberts.

Visitation is 11am-1pm Thursday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Brent Rowe officiating.  Pallbearers are Shawn Whitis, Drew Whitis, Evan Whitis, Reese Whitis, Scott Roberts, and Mark Brown.  Burial is at Hustonville Cemetery.
