Birdie Mae Coffman Case, 77, of Junction City passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Born September 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John William Coffman and Clara Johnson Brown. In addition to her parents, Birdie was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle Case; son, Danny Joe Coffman; and granddaughter, Blair Lee Coffman.
Birdie was a member of Community Baptist Church in Junction City. She had worked at Certified Brake in Danville, Keystone in Burgin, and later retired from the Butternut Bread Store. She loved to cook and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Most of all, she loved her sons and grandchildren. They were her world.
Birdie is survived by a son, Lonnie Coffman (Michelle) of Junction City; brother, Johnny (Donna) Coffman of Stanford; grandchildren: Jessica Coffman of Middleburg, Devin Coffman of Danville, and Samantha Coffman and Daniel Coffman and their mother, Thomatha Taylor of Nicholasville; and Janet Washburn of Junction City who was like family to her.
Visitation is 5-8 PM Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 11 AM, Saturday at the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Pastor Jolene Bailey and Pastor Doug Vandivier officiating. The Pallbearers are Jerry Bailey, Jeff Raider, Jeff Hall, Rodney Melton, Diesel Humfleet, and Tim Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers are Lannie Coulter and Carl Prueitt. Burial is at Parksville Cemetery.
