Billy Ray Brown, 86, of Hustonville passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  Born February 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Everett Monroe and Carrie McWhorter Brown. In addition to his parents, Billy was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Leyman Brown.

Billy was a 50-year-old member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a four-time Past Master, twice at Ancient Landmarks 319 and twice at Rocky Ford 765.  Billy also served as District Deputy for the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. Billy was a US Army Korean War veteran. He was a master carpenter, and he supervised remodeling and construction crews.

He is survived by his son, William R. (Cynthia) Brown of Hustonville; daughter, Sandra A. Wilson of Florida; sister, Norma Boren of Ellisburg; grandson, Jeremy Buehler; two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6-8 pm Thursday, December 14, 2023, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Masonic Service will be at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be at 11 am Friday, December 15, 2023, at Ellisburg Baptist Church with Bud Stidham officiating.  There will also be a visitation after 10 am at the church on Friday morning.  Burial will be in Dogwood Gap Cemetery.
