Betty Sue Rigney Maxwell, 72, of Danville passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022.  Born October 22, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Harmon Rigney.

Betty enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching her favorite show "Heartland". Betty loved sharing coffee, cheese, crackers, and bananas with her partners in crime, her beloved dog and cat.

Survivors include sons, Steven (Tina) Maxwell and Carl (Pearlie) Maxwell, both of Danville; daughters, Sheila Maxwell (Michael Fugate) and Mary Black, both of Danville; grandchildren: Cameron Gastineau, Hunter Maxwell, Wendy "Sky" Cooper, Carol Maxwell, Carl Maxwell, Jr., Cody Maxwell, Ashley( Bobby) Hodge, and Gladys Black; great-grandchildren: Eli, Matthew, and Adriana; and sisters: Opal Rigney Starks, Charlotte Rigney Vanover, Linda Rigney Adams, and Shirley Rigney Ross, all of Indiana.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Gene Maxwell; brothers: Herschel Rigney, Virgil "Butch" Rigney, James "Rick" Rigney, and Bobby Lee Rigney; and sisters, Juanita Rigney Goode and Roberta Rigney.

Visitation is 10:30am-12:30pm Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service to follow at 12:30pm with Charlotte Vanover officiating. Burial is at Camp Nelson Cemetery.
