Barbara Jo
Sheperson
Jul 31, 1943 — Apr 27, 2025
Perryville
Barbara Jo Sheperson, 81, of Perryville gracefully graduated to glory on April 27th, 2025 surrounded by her proudest creations. She held many titles including Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, but most importantly, Child of God. She was a virtuous woman through and through who exemplified God's intent with this world until her last breath. She was born July 31, 1943 to the late Howard Gaines and Ruby Crawford Gaines. She joined her brother, Howard Gaines, and sisters, Patty Wilson and Jeannie Romero, in Heaven. She is survived by her younger brother, Thomas Gaines, as well as ALL of her children (Robin Ranea, Robbie Dale, and Bryan Lee), grandchildren (Lauren Dayle, Haley Brianna, Will Christian, Luke Gilliam, Hagan Crawford, Parker Joe, and Mason Noelle), and great-grandchild (Emmy Joy). She was faithfully married to Bobby Lee Sheperson for 61 years. Her life was her creations and her favorite place proved to be wherever they were. Be it sitting on the beach, cutting a watermelon on the farm, or mowing her yard, she was always present. To her children, she will always be remembered as the Greatest Mother Ever. Though words can't give justice to their grandmother's life well done, the following 7 words were used to describe her by her grandchildren: Adoring, Radiant, Influential, Charming, Beautiful, Passionate, and Classy. Her immense impact on us all will forever be her legacy.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 29th at Doctor's Fork Baptist Church, 14331 Lebanon Road, Perryville from 4-7 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Union Hope Cemetery with Bro.
