Barbara C. Richey, 72, of McKinney passed away in Lexington on Saturday, November 9, 2024.  Born August 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Edith Crowe Carrier.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Richey; son, Troy Richey; brother, Dale Carrier; sister, Brenda Wilson; and Cathy Douglas who was like a sister to her.

Barbara had been a bookkeeper for Lincoln Fire Board and McKinney EMS.  She collected snowmen, liked to travel, and enjoyed listening to the group, Alabama.  She loved celebrating the holidays with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her.

Barbara is survived by a daughter, Karma (Keith) Adkins of McKinney; sons, Brian (Ingrid) Richey of McKinney and Glendon Richey (Bobbi Brown) of McKinney; 7 grandchildren: Katherine (Nick) Nelson of Wisconsin, Karylyn Richey (Denver Mayo) of McKinney, Krysten Richey (Ryan Thompson) of McKinney, Sarah Adkins of McKinney, Peighton Adkins of McKinney, Sean Maddox (Savannah White) of Hustonville, and Ruby Hatfield of Campbellsville; and 3 great-grandchildren: Sophie Nelson and Maverick and Myla Thompson.

A private family visitation will be held.  There will be no public services. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
