Audie Benedict Maddox, 87, of Moreland passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  Born April 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Bessie Raney Benedict.

Audie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and going to yard sales.  She and Henry were founding members of the Butchertown Community Center and she served on the board there.  Audie had worked at Cowdens and as a plant manager at Austin Apparel.

In addition to her parents, Audie was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Alton Maddox; brothers: Homer, John, Charlie, George, and Dean Benedict; and sister, Ruby Curtsinger.

Audie is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Royalty of Lawrenceburg; sons, Randy (Carol) Maddox of Junction City and Jimmy (Virginia) Maddox of Texas; brother, Steve Stanley Benedict of Parksville; 8 grandchildren: Stephanie Morris, Jennifer Maddox, Nathan Noel, Kara Bess Bechel, Jake Maddox, Elijah Maddox, Kristal Moore, and Kyla Satterly; 10 great grandchildren: Bailey and Hudson Morris, Grayson Maddox, Brayden, Ethan, and Noah Noel, Allison Bechel, Mallory Spalding, Megan Moore, and Jaxon Satterly; and 1 great-great grandchild, John Luke Spalding.

Visitation is 5:30-8:30, Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Saturday with Bro. Stacy Wilson officiating.  Pallbearers are Nathan Noel, Scott Morris Hudson Morris, Jason Satterly, Jaxon Satterly, Grayson Maddox, and Clyde Southerland.
