Arlie Wayne Shelton, 80, of Moreland passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at his home. Born October 15, 1942, he was the son of the late Herman and Virginia Tremble Shelton.

Arlie is survived by his sons,  Ronald (Nancy) Shelton of Michigan and Scottie (Renae) Shelton of Moreland; daughter, Patricia Wells of Florida; Ethan Johnson of Moreland, whom he raised and was like a son to him; five grandchildren: Ronald James (Nicki) Shelton of Michigan, Donnie Wayne King of Kentucky, Michael (Luba) Cross  of Florida, Justin Cross of Florida, and Kendall Shelton of Moreland; four great grandchildren: Devron King, Cloe King, Michael Cross, Jr., and Emily Cross; his fiancé and companion of 25 years, Barbara Downs of Moreland and her children: Anthony Downs of Casey County, Andrea Martin (Jim) of Whitley County,, and Keisha Downs (James) of Hustonville; and her grandchildren:  Elizabeth, Matthew, Avery, and Paizlie; and three brothers: Troy Shelton of Moreland, Bill Shelton of Moreland, and Chuck Shelton of Danville.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Phillips.

In honor of his wish to be cremated, no services are scheduled at this time.
