Arlie Lloyd Maynard, 85, of Middleburg, KY passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 following an extended illness. He was surrounded by his family.  He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Hattie Mae Crider Maynard; son, James Erwin (Tammy) Maynard of Middleburg; daughters, Linda Carol (Darrell) Howell of Delaware, OH and Arlene (David) Braymer of Middleburg.

Born February 4, 1935 in Betsy Layne, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest Dewey and Della Mae Woods Maynard.  He is survived by one brother, John Coleman (Shirley) Maynard of Prestonsburg and two sisters, Wanda Faye Thornsbury and Danetta Lynn Maynard, both of Prestonsburg.

He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Darrell, Ryan, Brandon, Dakota, Christopher, David, Tiffany, and Derek; four great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and ten step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, James Michael Maynard; three brothers:  Ernest Maynard, Jr., Paul Douglas Maynard, and Bobby Donald Maynard; and three sisters:  Mary Marie Fraley, Margaret Maynard, and Baby Girl Maynard.

Lloyd was a faithful servant of God for 64 years.  He was a current member of the Ellisburg Baptist Church.  He worked as a coalminer in his younger years.  He retired as a Foreman/Lineman from Pike Electric. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He also enjoyed working in his garden and building his own storage buildings.  He helped family members when they needed help building their homes.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. B.J. Crider, Rev. Darrell Howell, and Bro.
