Anita Louise Smith Watts, 78, of Hustonville passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. Born October 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Virginia Maddox Smith.
Anita was a loving wife, mother, and Mamaw. She loved quilting and being in the pool in the summertime. She enjoyed the flowers in her yard and growing plants in her home. Anita was a member of Maxey Valley First Church of God where she loved singing in the church choir and being the narrator at the Christmas plays. She worked for many years at Farmers Bank in Danville and at the National Bank of Hustonville. She also worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's business, CL Watts Construction.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Charles L. "Buster" Watts; son, Charles Bryan Watts (Rose Carpenter) of Stanford; daughter, Angela (Larry) Dowell of Stanford; sisters, Judy (Roger) Carlton of Lawrenceburg and Patricia Crask of IN; 5 grandchildren: Amanda Dowell (Alex Andes) of Stanford, Kayla (Matt) Chapin of Stanford, Shelby (Austin) Taylor of Stanford, BreAnn Carpenter of Moreland, and Donovan (Gina Perez) Carpenter of Moreland; and 6 great grandchildren: Carson Chapin, Evan Taylor, Owen Taylor, Caden Taylor, Dalton Carpenter, and Dorrance Carpenter.
Visitation is 5-8 pm, Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11am, Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Matt Chapin, Austin Taylor, Byran Watts, Larry Dowell, Alex Andes, and Donovan Carpenter. Burial is in Hustonville Cemetery.
